CONFIDENTIALITY AND INDEPENDENCE

DUCARES maintains the utmost confidentiality with regard to the data generated for its customers. Independence and impartiality towards our clients are of paramount importance.

 

DETECTION AND IDENTIFICATION
DUCARES uses mass spectrometry. This widely applicable technique is used for the detection, identification and quantification of molecules in biological and chemical mixtures. Molecules are ionized in a mass spectrometer. The ions are separated based on the mass-to-charge ratio. Detection then takes place. There are many different types of mass spectrometers. DUCARES has several UPLC-MS / MS (triple quad MS) and a Q-TOF MS.

 

MASS SPECTROMETRY
The triple quad MS is used to quantify known substances. This is often measured at a low level. The UPLC-MS / MS is capable of screening and confirmation. In addition to measuring known substances, this device can also simultaneously conduct research into unknown and/or new substances. The latter can be applied, for example, for veterinary drug research on behalf of pharmaceutical clients. Or be used to detect old and new substances - such as those used for doping. Examples include growth hormones (DES, IGF, GH, BST), SARMS and SERMS (selective androgen and estrogen receptor modulators).

 

Mass spectrometry is generally used in residue analysis, doping research, forensic research, determining molecular structures and impurity profiling. DUCARES can perform all these analyses.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND METHOD DEVELOPMENT 
DUCARES is an analytical laboratory with a consultative function. A team of 15 specialized, skilled employees performs and develops advanced chemical analyses. Various mass spectrometric techniques are used for this. For example, antibiotics, hormones and other residues of (prohibited) substances can be traced. Analyses are performed in many matrices such as animal feed, water, meat, organs, blood, urine, feces, eyes and hair. Existing analyses can be adapted at the request of the customer. New analyses can also be developed on stipulated specifications.

 

ADVICE
If desired, DUCARES can develop and perform new analyses in a short time. Results are accurately interpreted and reported, if necessary or desired,  with appropriate (legal) advice, as in the case of counter-expertise research. Of course, all research results are treated with the utmost confidentiality.
